Museum of Natural History – Ann Arbor, MI

,

In the summer of 2017 TreeTown Murals was selected to paint a 30′ x 9′ mural for the new Museum of Natural History, Ann Arbor.  The theme of the mural highlights the local Huron River watershed, depicting animals, native plants, and a few popular activities. In the first week of painting, the mural was set up to host over 350 helpers in paint by number fashion.  Although the museum was not fully open to the public until 2019 or 2020, they invited members to join in the painting for a special moment in time.  Check out the photos of the design and painting process.  Design credit to Danijel Matanic.  The complete artist team was Mary Thiefels and Danijel together.
